A squad of England national cricketers were bowled over at the Barclays Dubai Tennis Championships Tuesday evening where they met Andy Murray and other leading contenders for the Dubai Men’s Open title.

Middle-order batsman, Ian Bell and his England teammates were VIP guests at the prestigious ATP World Tour 500 tennis tournament, where they saw leading Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga defeat compatriot Michael Llodra on Centre Court.

The cricketers then went on to the ever-popular Players Party on the Aviation Club lawns, where they met Murray, defending champion Novak Djokovic and other leading ATP World Tour stars. Roger Federer, the four-time former champion, also made a brief appearance.

Earlier in the evening, the tournament had been presented with the 2009 ATP World Tour 500 Tournament Of The Year Award for the sixth time in seven years, capping a fantastic evening at the tennis.
