Stars Enjoy Gala Party

Some of the world’s best tennis players took some time out from their on-court duties to relax at the ATP Player’s party on the Aviation Club lawns on Tuesday.
 
The party is a regular feature of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, and several hundred invited guests enjoyed a delicious meal and live entertainment throughout the evening.

Fresh from his first round win over Cedrik-Marcel Stebe yesterday, world number one and winner of the past three Dubai titles, Novak Djokovic, joined in the fun.

Other players to enjoy the festivities were four-time champion Roger Federer, top Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga,  and former Dubai finalists Feliciano Lopez, and Mikhail Youzhny.

Tomas Berdych and model girlfriend Ester Satarova also enjoyed time away from the court, while American number one Mardy Fish took the opportunity to experience some local culture, riding a camel and holding a falcon.

Colm McLoughlin, Executive Vice Chairman of Dubai Duty Free, the tournament owners and organizers, was delighted with the evening. "We are very fortunate to have so many great people at the top of men’s tennis here this year, and to see them here tonight enjoying themselves and mixing with the guests is wonderful," he said.

Tournament Director, Salah Talak also attended the gala dinner and was delighted with the evening. "What a great way to celebrate men’s tennis and the success of the Dubai Duty Free Championships. It’s good to get to know the players away from the court in a social environment," he added.

The Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships is owned and organised by Dubai Duty Free and held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
